Taking care of ourselves and having self care is such a priority in today’s ever engaged environment. Tending to ourselves in a nurturing way is the equivalent of telling ourselves
“I see you, I love you, you are worthy and you deserve to be taken care of, let’s reset together”
Self-care can look like any of the following:
Physical-Exercising, Eating Healthy, Hydrating
Relaxation-Meditation, Getting enough sleep, Sitting down after a long day
Environmental- Getting Outside, Making your bed, creating a cosy reading nook
Intellectual- Reading a good book, doing Sudoku puzzles, playing a video game
Creative- Writing, painting, photography, doodling, colouring
Caring for yourself is a daily job. It requires showing up for yourself and honouring yourself with small gestures and actions that show loving-kindness towards all aspects of your personal life. This can be towards your body, mind, intellect, creativity, spiritual self, emotions, and your loved ones (yes this is a form of self care!)
And while there is nothing we love more than a whole day of self care, sometimes finding the time can be a little tricky.
With stay at home restrictions still in place here in Melbourne, it is the perfect time to implement a good DIY self care beauty routine. Our focus is being able to simply and effortlessly use natural alternatives to support and nourish our bodies and minds, instead of drenching ourselves in expensive toxins.
And thanks to our friends at Doterra, we have 3 recipes to create your own self-care beauty sanctuary with spa-like luxury, right in your own home! We have all of your essential oils for purchase in store or online, so all you need to do is head into your kitchen to collect the rest of the ingredients.
