Elly Levis
Accredited & Registered Play Therapist
Elly is a Registered and Accredited Play Therapist with a Masters in Practice-Based Play Therapy (UK). Elly has worked with children for over 30 years and specialises in working with 3 to 12 year olds.
Her passion is supporting children through their emotional concerns as she assists them in finding a sense of inner security and an awareness of self.
Her belief in the power of the 'positive relationship that develops between therapist and child during play therapy sessions’ and 'provides an emotional experience necessary for healing’ (Moustakas, C. 1997) is paramount to her work.
Respect, empathy, understanding, acceptance, kindness and a belief that the child is capable of making the change they need, are all vital components in Elly’s sessions.

What is Play Therapy?
Play Therapy is what counselling is for adults. Children are provided with a ‘Tool-Kit’ – specially chosen toys and creative arts media – to enable them to communicate what they have difficulty expressing through language.
Children are given the opportunity to develop ways of dealing with challenging situations and emotions within a supportive, safe and caring environment.
Toys are their words. Play is their language. Emotional wellbeing is the aim.
