The living room space is somewhere we spend a lot of our time. When the area is filled with clutter, mess and lack of air flow, it can have a huge impact on our mental health and sense of ease. But taking simple steps to improve our surroundings can have a big impact.

Open your windows

It seems like such a simple thing, however opening your windows can help remove dust, clear your space of stale and stagnant air and minimise mould growth. It energetically opens us up and releases what is necessary.

Use a diffuser

Essential oils not only help purify and freshen your space, but their natural aromas can also help shift your mindset and balance your emotions.

Many scented candles contain paraffins which can be harmful to your health. Instead, filling your space with the pure and natural aromas of nature with the use if essential oils is much safer and comes with therapeutic benefits.

Here is a pretty sweet blend we think you will love!

Two drops of dōTERRA Balance essential oil + Two drops of  Orange essential oil for a balancing and uplifting combination that can help ground and centre your emotions after a long day.

Bring the outdoors in with plants

Plants not only add beauty and colour to your home, but they are actively good for our health. They bring the soothing and restorative benefits of nature indoors. Plants can also help purify your space and clean the air by acting like natural air fresheners, drawing in gases like carbon dioxide, benzene, toluene and formaldehyde. Hooray!

Some great plant choice for indoors include Snake plants, Aloe-vera plants, Peace Lily or  Chinese Evergreen plants. They can also bring you happiness the moment you see a new leaf!
