Ayurvedic Massage (abhyanga)

Abhyanga, or Ayurvedic massage, involves the use of warm medicated oil massaged into the body using a special sequence of strokes that are not only deeply relaxing, but also stimulate the lymphatic system and improve circulation. This treatment involves working marma points (energy centres) in the body to break up stagnant energy and allow prana, life force, to flow.

Different to a deep tissue or remedial massage, Abhyanga massage supports the body by:

  • Stabilising and pacifying an overactive mind, creating a deep inner sense of peace and relaxation

  • Improving circulation

  • Encouraging toxins to be expelled

  • Stimulating the internal organs

  • Lubricating the joints

  • Strengthening the immune system

  • Nourishing the skin microbiome

  • Opening the flow of prana (life force) and balancing the 3 doshas

Note: Abhyanga massage is offered at the reduced price of $100 until December when Emily graduates – after that, full rates will apply so this is a wonderful opportunity to experience this beautiful therapy for less!
