I was teaching for nearly two years before Covid hit and needed to take a break from classes- so I am so excited for the opportunity to again share this practice with others. I love the many ways that yoga can manifest in people’s lives. I strive to create an inviting space for diverse students with varying motivations from those who wish to gain insight into themselves through movement and breath, to those who are simply taking some time out of their day to strengthen and/or stretch.

Though accredited in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative styles, I gravitate towards the grounding and flowing nature that Hatha provides. I incorporate a light-hearted and enthusiastic teaching style catering for all levels and abilities as best I can.

Class description:

This class, run by Rachel (Niyama Movement), will be Hatha-inspired with a focus on restoring balance in the body. Beginners are welcome as we will hold poses for a few breaths, this allows time for plenty of instruction. I endeavour to create a non-judgemental space that is inclusive and friendly for all. Come along in some comfy clothes and take some time out for yourself, your body and your mind 🙂

I strive to empower others in their personal journey to better understanding and knowing themselves through movement. As best I can, I cater to all levels of experience and ability through my sequencing, incorporating a light-hearted and enthusiastic teaching style with challenging but adaptable poses. This is a small venue so class sizes are a max of 6 people which creates more space for attention to detail and adjustments if needed.

Your first class will be discounted to $15 and if you attend 10 classes, choose between a free eye pillow OR another discounted class.
